History of the hotel 1812 - 2011
Already 1752 a house existed on this place - it was named after the owners Schneider. The village Hechendorf had only 19 houses.
Hospitality since 1812
In 1812 the a family named Dellinger owned this house and started here running a small hostel and pub for travellers. The whole village had 106 persons. The Dellingers made a good job - the guesthouse growed and continued as family business for more than 100 years.
Owner changing: from earl to brewery Löwenbräu to private again
1917 the House passed into the ownership of the Earl of Toerring and 1930 of the Brewery Löwenbräu. At this time the leaseholder Josef Hensch established the first butchery in Hechendorf - to the pleasure of the inhabitants.
1985 the brewery sold the house back to a private owner. 1991/92 the owner Mr. Neumüller made a renovation to the current comfortable and welcoming bavarian restaurant and guest rooms.
In October 2001, family Oeltzschner took over the Alter Wirt and is running it
until now.
We hope, you will spend a beautiful time at our house and we
are looking forward to see you.
